Laptop going into Denafrips Pontus help

I’m selling a Denafrips Pontus and guy asked me this question, I have no clue, I use a streamer. Here is what he asked “ had a concern with getting the proper driver since my source will be streaming and music files from a Windows 10 laptop. Denafrips website is URL blacklisted, which isn’t very encouraging”. I don’t know what to tell him. I used a lap top with a DAC long ago but never with any  Denafrips, thanks for any help

You never mentioned which pontus old pontus 2, Pontus 12th ?

you can write to support @ Denafrips and inquire , Or just down load the latest firmware which is on the pontus down load page

To second @jastralfu, I ran this exact setup with no problems.  As I understand it, the downloadable driver basically allows you to (re)route the laptop audio via a USB output.  The biggest limitation involves the laptop as a music source; IMHO, even a cheap streamer like the Bluesound Node Nano will noticeably improve the sound quality.

Not sure what you mean by the Denafrips url being blacklisted.  I found downloads for Pontus USB Windows drivers on the site just now.  Not sure what version you need for your Pontus but here’s a link
