I have been expressing an interest in Kuzma Stabi as a brand of a TT. I have collected a little information during the past few years for future referencing, I knew I had something bookmarked to offer info'. The Kuzma TT's get my attention, as I can't help being drawn to their Platter Bearing as a design. As the R model and above models are investigated, what is witnessed is a bearing housing that is rigidly attached to the structure. This is a design that I am keen to experience, as I have not been overly impressed with the bearing design on a range of TT's I have stopped using and the ones I remain using. Concerns for the structural attachment of the Bearing Housing to the Chassis has lead to the research into Methods to improve on such Bearing Designs. There are designs that are now in use, other options have been sought and are works in progress. Kuzma also seem to have produced a design that enables a correct method of lubrication to be used and a optimised condition for the bearing is able to be maintained. The idea of putting trust into a Sintered Bronze Bush or squirting oil down the shaft of the Plane Bearing, does not give me much confidence that all is to remain in a optimised condition I see the use of the Ruby Ball as being a fragile material, but if carefully looked after, should prove to be ideal at the interface, the friction reduction will most likely have been assessed and this part has proved the most satisfactory. My first TT was a Belt Drive and when the time is made to enable a demonstration of the Kuzma TT as a comparison to my go to TT at present. A Kuzma model might become my last TT purchased and take the mantle of being my final owned TT.
