Koetsu Blue Lace vs Onyx Platinum

Has anyone experienced these two carts?
Any thoughts about sonic differences.
I understand the Blue Agate scarcity due to blue not being readily found in nature.
Thanks.

Geoffkait,

The problem with that is to hear one, you will never be satisfied until you own one. Personally, I would prefer the Jade. Not that it would sound and different, but only due to the preference of the color! (grin)
You make a good point. Guess I'd have to hear them to find out myself.
Yes, in the scientific sense, there are differences between lets say, Diamond and Granite. But the stones being used by Koetsu are not 'that' dissimilar . They are and must be for machining purposes, the same! We are not listening at this 'Atomic' level. There are more vibrations in the air from just the movement of the 'air' itself than what will be heard by humans at this 'atomic' level of stone.
Each type of stone I.e., mineral has a unique atomic structure that dictates how it reacts to vibration, grasshopper. The atomic structure dictates the bandwidth and frequency of vibration. And the atoms of the stone, uh, vibrate.
A stone is a stone is a stone! What sonic differences could there possible be? You think a Blue stone might dampen vibrations better the Platinum one? Right. And my Red Corvette smells better than your Green one!
