Those pricey cables frequently have serial numbers, and if you look at the fakes, it's actually pretty easy to tell that there are differences from the real thing.
Not being sarcastic, but weren't you aware of the fact that there are many counterfeit items on Aliexpress? They are alright with it, and since they're in China, nobody here is going to be able to stop them.
