Klipsch + NFB: Yea or Nay?

Specifically, Forte IVs and a choice between a 300B SET with or without NFB. What’s the verdict? Or is there one?

My very limited understanding is that NFB can increase the amplifier’s control over the speaker. And so, given the Forte’s 15” passive radiator (and roller coaster impedance?) my thinking was that NFB might be desirable here. But I’ve really no idea, hence the question…

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Yes for NFB! It is an effective way to lower the output impedance of both tube and transistor amps. Any amp with an output impedance of 1 ohm + will act as a tone control as it tracks a speaker’s impedance curve. Something to be avoided!

Thanks for the response. So, basically, your view is an amp should always employ some amount of feedback?
