Just unboxed a Luxman D-05
I know that CD Players need to burn in and no one really cares to read or hear about initial impressions... but I just wanted to post my first impressions and then hopefully I will remember to come back and post a follow-up.
Took delivery today of a D-05. The Fedex guy struggled up the stairs and warned me, before handing it over that it was heavy. I know the last thing he thought contained in that huge box was a cd player. I mean, after all, who still buys cd players?
Un-boxing is like going through a maze... it's triple boxed.... seemed like more. out of the box it sounds unbelievable.... Purity, depth, accuracy... can't wait to hook it to the soon to come 550 MKII integrated and hear it burned in....
