Just received my LHY Linear Power Supply

I just received an LHY Power Supply from Vinshine Audio.  As always, Alvin and his team were wonderful to work with.  The addition of the LHY to my Innous Pulse Mini does make an audible difference.  The attack of bass has increased, as well as enhanced detail.  I wouldn't say it's a night and day difference, but one that is incremental.  I think anyone with a streamer that uses a switching power supply would experience a nice uptick in performance with the addition of a linear power supply.

This would be a very good choice. I have a version of this with a digital voltage readout on the front (very slightly more expensive) which is very good but have actually read that the voltage readout light introduces some noise and can be snipped-which I haven’t done but might do if I get around to it ;)

Edit: I actually have a single output version of this. Link is to dual output.

Just a heads up for those that might have interest that the LHY stand alone linear power supplies are available on Aliexpress for about 55% of the cost from Vinshine. Not sure how the tariff situation is affecting prices from Singapore or China into the US currently but Ali ships Tariff free into Canada (where I'm located) and possibly other locations.

Would certainly agree that a decent quality LPS will be big bang for the buck with many/most 5V or 12V streamers or DAC's. And there are some very good power supplies beyond the LHY's available on Ali at very reasonable prices. I have 5 of them here powering various pieces of equipment, ranging in price from the ultra inexpensive to the reasonably inexpensive, maximum $140 U.S. that one being an 80W, 12V, 5A capable with R-core transformer.

Greg: My first foray into LPS was with a relatively inexpensive 15W Weiliang (also sold as Breeze Audio I believe). These can be purchased with either a Bingzhi transformer or an upgraded Talema transformer. I have the latter as by most accounts it is supposed to be significantly better than the Bingzhi.

Decent improvement but for marginally more money you can buy a much better power supply on Aliexpress. I'm partial to the R-cores for digital gear after doing a bit of research on them.

The Sengterbelle R-core LPS's on aliexpress are excellent (I have 2 of them, both 50W 5V 3A versions) and I also have an 80W 12V 5A linked below that I am currently using on my DAC that is very good.

I've always used good quality power cords to the LPS as well-my current preference is Preffair D503 based cords-also very reasonably priced-and I've purchased upgraded DC cables for all the LPS's from KAM audio in Hong Kong (about $30 for a good DC cable).
