Seeing as how you are hunting for a DAC, let me throw one more into the mix--the Merason DAC1. It only does 192 and no MQA so skip it if those are important to you. I auditioned it against the Weiss at my dealer's place a couple of times and took the Merason home for a demo (and ended up buying it). Not sure what you prefer in a DAC but the Merason had a wider soundstage and better bass than the Weiss. The Weiss was probably a little more "neutral" (but I find that hard to really definitively say). and may have a touch more detail. That dealer also carries Jeff Rowland, but I don't think he had the DAC (not sure what that means).

Has anyone had the opportunity to AB a Jeff Rowland Aeris DAC to a Weiss 502? If so, what sonic differences did you hear and which did you prefer?
