Jadis DA 30 or DA 50

What does it mean when you said: "There are no compare to the new da50"? Thank you.

Any further comments on the difference between DA30 and 50? Also reasking the question of EL34 versus the other tube combinations possible with these amps.

Have you heard anything about 'reliability' issues with Jadis?

The DA 30 apparently works with EL 34's, 6550's and KT 90's do you have any recommendations?

One last question, have you heard anything about the new DA 50?

I have auditioned both, side by side, in the recent past (45 days). There is no comparision, the D30 sounds more open in the midrange, more airy in the highs. Soundstage is bigger too.

The DA 30 has an active linestage, the OR is strictly passive; the Orchestra Reference has Bass and Treble tone controls, should you wish to attempt to use them to your benefit.

If you are a US buyer, look out for ads for new Jadis equipment here by a seller called Nguyen based in Canada. Prices in the US are quite a bit higher than they are internationally.

Here in Asia, the Orchestra reference retails for around US$1900 new, and the DA-30 for about US$2900 which is $1000-2000 less than in the US, as I understand it.
