It's All I Can Do - Better than I remember

I always liked The Cars. I was in high school and college in their heyday. Haven’t listened to them in a while but I was recently compiling an 80s playlist on Qobuz for fun.

Threw in a good many Cars songs, mostly from their Complete Greatest Hits.

I was pleasantly surprised at the sound quality of these recordings. It’s All I Can Do is a standout among them and was always one of my favorite Cars songs.

On my system it sounds best with a bit more volume than I typically use. Drums and bass are particularly well recorded/produced. I’ve always felt that the key to any rock recording is getting drums and bass correct.

Since You’re Gone is also nicely done.

So, if you haven’t given The Cars a listen in a while find It’s All I Can Do, queue it up, sit down, turn it up and see what you think.

I’m always searching for good music that is well recorded and sometimes looking back to old familiar songs you haven’t listened to in a long time is a good way to find them.

Yes, since starting down this road of putting  together a better sound system I also have been rediscovering familiar music.  I only wish I’d started earlier, as many here have.  What a wonderful hobby.
