Is the EMM CDSD transport in very short supply?

Is EMM having trouble manufacturing these or is the demand just high?

A bit of both, I have been waiting for MONTHS again, and I waited till it was a production unit before I paid for it this time. In any case I am sure its a worth while upgrade at this level, the phillips was a poor excuse but it got the job done for a little while. I am told mine should ship in the next few weeks, if I have it before christmas I will be happy.
Rgs92: Both are true. EMM Labs is extremely backordered not only because they have had metal work supply problems, but also due to extreme demand.
Tireguy,

Please let us know your reactions to the EMM transport when it finally arrives.

Acquiring minds would like to know.

Thanks to Tireguy & Jonathan for the hopeful answers. I have never seen a supply-demand imbalance anything like this for any audio product before. Ed Meitner must be proud (as he should be, I guess). I do love my DCC2 (& my wife, too, if she's reading).
Yeah, Rgs92. But you can play the DCC2 24/7 and it doesn't ask for ANYTHING.

A little peace(sp), a little companionship, a little enjoyment. Thanks for asking.
Rgs92,
You have to love your wife first before you love the DCC2 otherwise you will be in trouble just like me!!!
Enjoy the great unit.
The longer the wait and the more glowing reviews about Esoteric X-01 and other very high end units, I think, the less people will be prepared to wait "unreasonable lengths of time" for EMM transports - everybody has their "time limit", I think - unless something is sufficiently unique.
I am waiting for people whose ears I trust to hear it - they have ordered it months and months ago - to see if I still am prepared to wait and wait for mine.............Also, I have not read enough glowing reviews of the combination to make it so cut and dried to wait. Certainly, the DCC2 is special - but then I hear so are a few others.............
Point: If EMM want to keep competitive in a niche which they dont exclusively own any longer, they need to "keep the customers happy" and waiting is not an audionut strength:):)
