Is teflon based lubricating spray bad for tonearm bearings?

I have read that sprays like WD40 are not recommended but wondering about teflon based sprays. What are the recommendations for tonearm bearings?

They do not recommend any fluid type sprays since they can affect the grease that is used. They advise bringing it to a tech for inspection.
