What you're after in your text seems not quite in agreement with the title of your thread. Yes, I would guess that the Slee Revelation is an excellent choice for the particular needs you mention, but no, I doubt the Slee Revelation is the "best affordable all around phono pre". The competition at the low end of the market is intense.
