I see nothing @ $2K except for used which is sporadic.

Are you too compromised to search for yourself?

What about used?  You can get a used Parasound Halo integrated for under 2K. 

@fuzztone I'm looking for advice. I can research forever but if I can benefit from the community's knowledge and generosity, I think I'm using this forum correctly! I did not realize that Gold Note was so expensive; I'd gotten that recommendation from a friend who knew my budget.

+1 stereo5. If I was looking for a single box solution on a budget a used Halo would be on my short list. May go that route for my living room system. I believe there is one for sale here on AG.
