In-wall cable

Hello

I am looking to buy this cable to connect a new subpanel to wall outlet - cable should meet NEC for indoor :

10 Gauge, stranded copper, 3 wire, 600v

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Dejan

Any reason you are looking at stranded wire instead of solid copper?  I believe Romex 10/2 (2 wire + ground) is the standard choice in this situation?  Will handle up to 20 amps.

I had stranded wire in old house and love it. One of the solutions would be Southwire MC Armorlite but in that case I would need metal wall box which I would like to avoid

Thank you Mike! Excellent topic! I already contacted Jim who is real expert in this field but can not believe that wire I am looking for could not be made in this country..

@vuckovic

Home Depot, in stock.

10/2 stranded copper wire aluminum armored MC cable

Anti-short bushing ... NEC does not require this. But I highly recommend it be used!!!

Another option.

Install Carlon 1/2" ENT (Electrical Nonmetallic Tubing) to Carlon Plastic outlet boxes.

Carlon 1/2" ENT

Use #10awg THHN stranded copper wire.

#10awg stranded copper wire.

One Black, one White, and one Green per 1/2" ENT.

Your electrician Must twist (moderately) the Hot and Neutral conductors together the entire length of the ENT. Install the green EGC straight along side of the Hot and neut twisted pair. One dedicated branch circuit per 1/2" ENT.

Best practices, a dedicated branch circuit should not share, be installed, in a conduit or cable assembly with other branch circuits.

Keep 1/2" ENTs spaced apart about 12" from one another as soon as practical after getting out of the electrical panel. (ONE 1/2" ENT per bored hole through studs or ceiling joists.)

NO Multiwire Branch Circuits! No shared neutrals!

FWIW, I’m a solid wire guy myself...
