I2S music server for Denafrips Ponuts

Hi,

I am looking for a good music server. I read the BluOS Node is good, but not on the level like High End music server. My Dac is the Denafrips Pontus and I would connect it via I2S to the streamer. Streaming App is Quboz, because it is in my opinion better than Tidal and also for me the best streaming source.

What for a server would you recommend?

Hi,

I recently bought the Magna Mano.

But there is a problem now.

The I2S input is not working.

The streamer and the DAC is connected with USB now.

In the Volumio App shows the streamer the DAC, but HDMI is not working.

I configurated the Pontus to I2S yet…still not working.

Does anyone have an idea?

Cheers

The Magna has a built-in LPS. Wyred4Sound does not.

There are many other ways to get an i2s connection but Magna is the most cost effective. And the support is excellent.

To get equivalent performance from a RasPi costs as much plus more work.
Rob has done it for you and put it all in a nice case.

A Denafrips DDC that converts anything but USB costs 30% more than the whole shooting match. I put a Synergistic fuse in mine, no discernable improvement over the installed HiFi Tuning fuse so forget that. All you can do is a power cord. It's not very sensitive to isolation either.

Just buy a Denafrips DDC reclocker and you can use I2S with any streamer.

Thanks for the advices. I am waiting for further answers. At this point the Mano Ultra is my favorite.

Magna Mano Ultra. Best value.

With installed plCore player it does Qobuz, Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Napster,  Slacker, BandCamp, SoundCloud,  Pandora etc.
