Jon at The Tube Store would be my recommendation. There is also Kevin Deal at Upscale Audio, as well as Andy at Vintage Tube. Both have a good reputation, but I have no direct experience with them to speak of. I can tell you I've been very pleased with Jon's service and products over the years. As far as NOS, his selection is sometimes limited. 6922's should not be a problem though. There are other dealers as well, and I'm sure others will chime in here.

For now here's The Tube Store's website.

Malcom,

Check out Andy Bouwman at Vintage Tube Services. He is a dealer on A'gon and is very reputable. Besides that, he is about as knowledgeable about tubes as anyone you could find. If he can't help you then very few can.

I would suggest that you get his phone # from his web site which is www.vintagetubeservices.com and give him a call. He is very slow to respond to email so using the telephone is your best bet.

Good Luck!
Thanks Marco for that info!!Now the next question any reputial dealers come to mind.
Thanks again Malcolm
That is a Russian version of one of the most common miniature 9-pin tubes used in preamp applications. The best versions of that are widely considered to be the NOS German tubes made by Siemens and Telefunken. Those NOS versions are also frequently counterfitted, and sometimes re-branded by other tube manufacturers because they can command a high price. If you are going to buy good tubes in that family it is best to buy from a reputible dealer. I think the Russian 6H23 version of this tube is a slightly higher output and not necessarily applicable in all applications of the 6922 family. Perhaps someone who knows better than me could chime in and assist.
