I'm setting up a Denon 61F turntable


for a friend who's father just died. I note it has no provision for VTA adjustments. Any recommendations for a MM cartridge that is not particularily VTA sensitive - I've not paid much attention to this market.

Perhaps a Denon cartridge; they sound good for the price/performance and the price is right. The DL160 is a high output coil that can be had for a bit under 200 delivered from audio cubes in japan.
I am not sure spacers between the cartridge and headshell are a good idea as this is the most critical mounting point and must be rock solid. You are better off calculating, or researching thru old literature, the body height you need and searching for a cartridge close to that dimension.
