How to identify an mondial aragon 8008 amp from an 8008BB

Are there any 8088bb markings on the case? Looks like the bb was manufactured in 1995 and after and would have balanced inputs on the rear panel. Can anyone confirm this and any other comments to add. Thanks

I don't know if there are any different markings on the case.  If you have the ability to remove the top cover, the BB has two transformers inside (instead of one) -- making it a true dual-mono design.

If you haven't been the above page, it's a good primer on older Aragon amps.

The 4004 has the flat face. The 8008 has the protruding face. The 8008BB has balanced inputs and a more robust power supply as well as more output devices. If it has balanced inputs, it is an 8008BB. If there are no balanced inputs, it is an 8008. In other regards, the external of the amps look the same.
Easy, the BB version is heavier due to the dual transformers and has rca in's as well as balanced. It's also the version you want unless you jump up to the palladiums.
so you can put each amp on scales and whatever side goes down it's BB version. if both stay the same, than it's either or.

Nope. The BB has both balanced and RCA inputs. The regular 8008 has RCA inputs only. Simple enough. No scales, no pulling off the top cover, just look at the back of the amp.
