how good is the Heed Quasar?

Quasar is a great price/build/performance and value choice. 

Went tube. Looks like the cost has gone up a couple of bucks- $750 when I purchased one many years ago. Still reasonable for what it is.

I think it’s a great sounding piece. Not as quiet as a Sutherland, but I much preferred the tone and body of the Heed. But if you’re one of those guys who turns the volume up full and puts your ear against the speaker, this is not it. But it sounds excellent for the money.  I like all the Heed stuff I’ve heard.
