how come im having such a hard time

with syncing up my sony tv and external speakers going thru an arcam surround receiver ? does anyone have a suggestion?

Have you enabled correct sound output on the Sony TV? Have you assigned the proper audio input (ie hdmi or optical (toslink) to the input you are using on the Arcam? Just a few thoughts...
