aseaman007,
Yes, I applied the NPS 1260 on everything I could. Even on my input tubes. Not the output tubes though, too many pins in total.

aseman007 I am still waiting on my order of Q45t, but i did just order on Monday. I did apply the 1260 to my Tv and Sat. box power cords. Yes it was a positive results better picture. From what i have read her on the Q45t thread it is thicker and a little more grainer than the 1260. It is also cheaper cost than the 1260. |
@ozzy or 68pete since you both are most knowledgible on mc .05 & nps 1260. I tried to get a bottle of nps 1260 I guess their not selling it anymore ? Strange they stated it was the best thing since sliced bread. Lol Hey ozzy how did you like the nps 1260 ? Does anyone know the difference between the nps 1260 & nps Q 45t ? What ingredients are ? I got an email available feb 8. I’m sure its good since I am a believer in their mc.05s, have 3 of those, I wanted to get one more mc05 but didnt want to wait 2 3 mths for delivery. Happy listening 😎 |
Such a coincidence: — A week ago I asked the company if they were going to have any sales like Black Friday, as I wanted to buy more NPS 1260. No reply. —Two days ago, I see that NPS 1260 is sold out. Hmmmm. —Yesterday I notice a sale “60 % off Black Friday site wide sale” through Dec 5th. NPS 1260 still “sold out”. Hmmmm again.

Hello aseaman007 Yes i have it on about half of them. i will get around to doing the rest later on. Yes big improvement, the sound stage gets much bigger. The separation of different instruments gets bigger . It takes what the MC O5s do and improves it. They work well together. It works well with all the wave guides from the MC O5s to the MC-1 Pro Double Helix Signatures. Midrange and highs are what stood out first with the bass coming a little longer in time. |
keithtexas I have found for me that the MC o5s and other wave guides. Give the bigger bump on the front end equipment. They do help on the amp side, but better on the front end side. I have more than a few on my amp line. If i was just going with 1 wave guide in my system it would be for the front end. The bass is the last to improve, but it will just takes more time. |
@giantsalami , really do you think so, well nps 1260 sounds very effective as everyone says. Tomorrow I will call him, we’ve never spoke just emailed several times. I listened to his Youtube video on nps but his recording was so low I had to listen to it in my car. Interesting stuff but I can see how it works in away with all those different nano particles. Rare elements used hence the price, but being in sales 30yrs theres always a deal to be made. 😎 Happy Listening |
@ozzy I'm not a big bass kinda guy just fill in the bottom end nicely. But many experts like Gene audioholics states 2 subs fills in or even outs the room pressure no nulls in a room, otherwise I'm fine right now. Nps 1260 sounds great from those who've used it, I read the reviews. Good ones, today is the last day so I have to decide on a Pro mc05 or nps 1260 is regular price so no rush on that. I listened a for about an hr today. 🎶😎 |
@giantsalami, wow very nice. Yes you need very deep pockets for all of Rick’s toys he sells. I don’t have any Pro helix mc05s in my system, just 2 mc05 helix sigs, 1 regular mc05 and I like the sound my system makes. But I see from the board that this hobby can be addictive. I am considering the nps 1260 but havent pulled the trigger yet, its just painting cables ends are not my idea of fun. But will it really make a audible difference to my old ears. Lol 🎶😎 |
aseaman007, Since both products are made by the same manufacturer it makes sense to combine them. The NPS 1260 was probably developed while testing with their equipment. Later on, invest in another sub, depending on how low you operate them it probably wont matter if they are not the same. It just may take a little more fiddling to get them to blend. ozzy |
@ozzy great sounds like its going in the right direction, I myself have 2 mc05 helix sigs and 1 reg mc05 in my system. Plus toed in finally right, straight at my listening position, for some reason it took me a while to find that magic toe in just right. But I like the soundstage, width, depth, voicing dead center Im so fooled I keep checking to make sure my center speaker is off. Lol it is. Now Im thinking of 2 things, 1 add a second sub, rel 7tx but I have a def tech supercube 4000 now, Im afraid using 2 different sub will it be a blending nightmare ? 2) try the Nps 1260 ? Which first... lol Need some help on this one. Happy Listening. 🎸🥁🎹🎷 |
I received a MC-05 Helix Signature a few days ago. I also applied the NPS 1260 to the prong ends. Upon insertion, I noticed that the midrange, soundstage and the treble to be all extended forward along with a reduced bass response. I was a little worried. After the help of 68Pete and my friend Tom who confirmed that this was due to the weird break in of theses devices I gave it more time. Sure enough, just 24 hours later it was better and now 48 hours later everything seems to sound very right. (I wonder if it will improve even more?) What I am hearing is increased soundstage width, and better separation of instruments. Quite a bit actually. BTW, it took about a week from order to delivery. ozzy |

lowrider57 I have received one of my orders. I order 3 times, a day apart (3 separate orders). I was told 2-3 more weeks. I do know they have purchased some milling machines, to do more stuff in house. They where trying to get them in place and set up. Raw materials seem to be slow on the receiving end. From what i was told the sale was much bigger than they expected. I would keep checking in every 2 weeks with them, i am going too. Keep me posted on how it goes. |
