Yo2tup...i have been cooking my HD3 pcs for 2 days after getting them . i have an Audiodharma Pro cooker. that 2 day period appears to make a significant improvement. i have not cooked them longer..hope this helps.. |
Hi Barcardi - Actually I have recently changed my plans.
With my Synergistic Research Powercell 10 SE Mk.III that I got recently, it came with a 32-amp Element Copper/Tungsten Power cord instead of the Tesla Precision AC power cord. Let me tell you, this newer Element power cord is incredible and out performs the Tesla power cables in everyway. The same way that the Element speaker cable and interconnect line beats the previous Tesla line. I have my doubts now that the HiDiamond can beat this NEW cord from Synergistic.
I have a feeling like I did with the Tesla line years ago that the NEW Element line is going to be a huge success.
I'm going to order one HiDiamond Power 3 power cord and test it against the whole line of new Element power cords from Synergistic. I'm being sent to DEMO in my system Element Hologram A and Element Hologram D and also Element Copper (T2 Equivalent) and Element Tungsten (T3 equivalent). I'm using The Cable Company as my lender.
A full review will follow soon. Thanks ;-) |
since i have not heard the hi diamond cables, i will not make a statement about them.
but i will say that there are many cable s out there. no one has heard them all. so it is a bit presumptuous to make claims about one cable vs all other cables.
even if one says that hi diamond compared to all other cables auditioned gets closer to live sound, it is possible that there is some other cable that does a better job.
reminds me of a stereophile reviewer who (paraphrasing) siad:
"this is the best amp i have heard so far", only to repeat the statement in another issue.
perhaps i should review them. i have reviewed many, already. |
Hifial, get the Galileo MPC. Huge improvment. You can audition on FREE from your dealer and see for yourself. That also goes for a Tranquility Base.
Can you audition HiDiamond for FREE in your home?? NOPE! That was enough for me to pass on them. What they trying to hide? |
Joeyboynj, You stated, "What they trying to hide?" I think that there would be long list of companies on your "hide list" that have nothing at all to hide. There are many reasons why companies do not have a loan policy. Using "loaded" language to make insinuations is not very helpful, IMO. This never deterred me at all regarding HD cables or any other audio company, for that matter. Life is an adventure, not an insurance policy. I am very glad I made the choice to try HD cables. They are all keepers in my system. |
Unfortunately free in home auditions of cables (or anything else) is the exception, not the rule. Small, direct manufacturers often offer this luxury. To pose a question that implies that Hi Diamond has something to hide is laughable. |
@Sabai, I think Joeyboynj is obviousely maybe one of S.R's greatest fans. He has to put down HD even though he hasn't even tried them. Wow. Very unprofessional of someone to do or say things to down a company as highly regarded as HiDiamond. I think that's called trashing. And they have nothing to hide at all. What a comment-lol. |
After many hours and listening to songs and artist that I have listened to for many years I have come to the following conclusion in regard to HiDiamond Cables over the past 5 months;
I have owned many of the top cable manufacturers, most costing stupid expensive money and in my opinion you must judge cables on what they do or don't do, not what they cost. My system consist of some very good revealing equipment and this is the first cable manufacturer that makes a cable that does not affect my system in any way. The HiDiamond cables are super neutral and do not equalize my system in any way. I am currently running several P3 power cables, XLR3 and the AES Reference digital cable; still saving for the speaker cables. All cables were put in individually and every time I replaced one of my previous reference cables with a HiDiamond cable my system improved. I must admit I am surprised almost shocked how much my system now reveals without any hint of brightness. I now have more resolution but less brightness and I also find myself much more involved in each song. The bass is deeper but more defined with slightly more dynamics then my previous reference cables. It is difficult to explain and the best thing I can say is, I do not analysis may system anymore but instead tap my foot and enjoy. My system is much more involving then it has ever been and for the first time in a long time I am enjoying my system rather than listening to my system. the positive thing people are saying on this thread about HiDiamond is 100% true and trust me, I am not an easy sell. |
The distributor does not offer an in-home trial. You buy it you keep it. I'm in the market for I/C's and have narrowed my list to, DACT DUAL DI100 (Danish), Sablon Pentela (English), Wywires and Triode Wire Labs(American). If any one knows how these compare to the HiDaimonds, I'd appreciate your feedback. It would be helpful to know how they comapre with more expensive I/Cs in the $2,000 to $3,000 price range. There have been some very positive comments made about the High Fidelity cables. |
I can't answer about $2K plus cables, but HiDiamond's P3 power cords are on a whole another level - maybe two! - beyond the TWLs (10+, 8+), Teresonic and the WyWires silver (Juice 2). I just got a pair of D8 ICs, which are currently on a cooker, but out of the box they were in some ways, such as clarity and tonality, already beyond the Teresonic Clarison silver, which is no slouch. HiDiamond seems to be one of those cords/cables that's hard to be unhappy about. One thing I found about the PCs in my computer system, though, is they don't like to be a minority.
Because of the Euro's run up against the dollar, Robert has finally been forced to give in and raise prices roughly 20% as of April 7 (or whenever the new *retail* price list goes online). Excellent pricing before then - contact him directly - and it won't be terrible afterward given the sound quality. |
Highstream, thanks for the heads up regarding the price increase. I just spoke to Robert and ordered a pair of the HiDimond 8 speaker cables and one P3 power cord..I anxiously wait for the arrival. Could be ten days. |
I must say that I agree 100% with Paz307. Since I first started replacing my system with Hidiamond cables my critical listening of music and theatrical movie experiences has progressed immensely and become more and moe enjoyable. It has been really fun playing old music and I just can't stop enjoying it over and over day after day. Music to me is the way to end an evening. With all the P3/P4's, xlr2, D8 speaker and D9 interconnects my system has never sounded this good. With a few more upgrades and tweeks I can push the envelope to achieve my listening goal and step off the merry-go-round. In the end, you'll listen to the music, and not your system. All I can say is "yes, they do reveal the live show" in my room! |
