Hemi Sync Recordings

I was shopping for some new CDs (gasp) on Amazon and I purchased this CD called Baroque Garden, which contains several pieces performed by the Archangelos Chamber Ensemble. I didn’t really read much about it, but I like this type of music, so OK. I got it yesterday and it turns out to be some type of New Age  recording called Metamusic with a tone embedded that is supposed to synchronize both hemispheres of the brain and it says not to listen while driving or operating heavy machinery, apparently because you’ll get too relaxed. So I listened and there is some very soft hum recorded in the center. I don’t think a non-audiophile would pick it out, but you all would definitely hear it because it sounds like a slight hum that you would identify as something wrong with the amp or similar. The music is actually quite nice and I just thought I would pass it along. Turns out the thing was produced by the Monroe Institute, a place that preaches mental health and wellness. So now I have both hemispheres of my brain in sync and all is well. I did pee in my pants, but that’s nothing unusual.  A small price to pay for synchronized hemispheres I guess.

I participate in a Forum dedicated to the BBC Radio 3.  I actually don’t listen to Radio 3 much, as I have other favorite Internet Radio stations, but the regular posters are very knowledgeable about Classical Music and an interesting mix.  Anyway they are concerned about the proliferation of ‘mindffullness’ programming, what sounds to be spa music accompanied by some breathing coach.

For years Classical Music has been used in stressful areas such as Chemotherapy waiting rooms.  Given how stressed out everyone is it seems that the programmers in search of ad revenue have taken the next step.

Monroe Institute is real deal.  Tones alone worked for me-not imbedded in music.  Long story distilled down…@14 years ago I suffered a reactivation of Epstein-Barr virus.  Auto immune response demyelinated peripheral nerves in legs and feet.  I was diagnosed as “post viral syndrome “.  Extreme fatigue, hyper reactive muscles, neuropathys…doc’s won’t see you for this, so 2 years of med research on my part showed that part of the damage is over active amygdala in my brain.  How to “quiet” down your amygdala?  Partly thru the use of hemi-sync tones.  Helped greatly.  My background of 30+years of acute/critical care helped me digest a lot of dense clinical info.  Also gave me a realistic view of the level of health care available if you have something uncommon—you’re on your own.   This is a very very distilled down description.  As always, your mileage may vary.

The influence of music on the body exceed many drugs designed by big pharma...

It is vastly underscored...

And to help elevating consciousness ...

The ragas music of India is specifically designed to do the two works on body and consciouness for the right moment of time in the day...

Speech as music because it is music  also ( the mother voice for a baby etc ) help as much as drugs...But it is called psychology effect then placebo which are dismissed as non effective by ignorants paid by big pharma...

If you are anxious try this mantra for thirty minute and you will not need anti depressant today but to test it you must be already anxious if not you will post here that this repetite mantra is dull 😁

When i crossed anxiety level even Bach does not help me as much because a complex piece of music unlike a mantra ask too much attention and does not work inside my body as stay much longer in my mind first... In a word Bach music help to prevent anxieties not to cure it so well as a mantra or Monroe hemisynch...

Elements of truth in much of this. Choose with care. In most cases, my guess is that the music hasn't changed. Your perception has.

it is true you are right that our perception of music can modify his effect...

But if you confuse bias with the physical properties of each music whose effects can be "measured" by cymatics for example or statistical studies on the body zones of different music , you miss all the knowledge about music therapy...

Music can change our perception, refine them elevate them or the opposite...

This is not reducible to subjective biases or placebo...
