Help wit my EAD T 1000 Transport!

My EAD T-1000 transport is having trouble reading discs. It feeds a Wadia 26 dac.  Does anyone know where I can get serviced in Chicago area, I understand parts are hard to come by, It has a Pioneer stable platter. Or am I better off finding something on the used market with newer technology?

I use Midwest Audio in Arlington Heights.  I last was there in mid 2020 and it took months to get my item fixed because they were so backed up as people had rediscovered their systems during lockdown

dirty laser can be cleaned.

weak laser can be replaced

did you clean the laser?

manually, take apart, q tip alcohol

or, buy disc with tiny brushes made to clean lasers

go from there.
