Take a line out from the Hegel integrated to your Schitt Magni headphone amplifier's line input. Your Schiit phono pre-amp should connect to an input on your integrated. This is not an ideal setup because you'll have two volume controls in the signal path, but I don't see any other option given that the Hegel has no fixed line out.
Help Connecting Headphones
Hi All: I am still a relative newbie, and looking to get my headphone system set-up into my current set-up. See below.
Goal: Option to listen with my headphones from all sources coming into Hegel 590.
Integrated Amp: Hegel 590 with no headphone jack.
Source Inputs:
* Spotify/Tidal via Ethernet Network
* Dual 120 Record player connected to Schiit phono pre-amp, with interconnects to Hegel's "Analog 1 input"Speakers: Monitor Audio 500 7g.
Output Sources:
* Monitor Audio 500 7g connected to Speaker L/R channels
* Hifiman 400i connected to Schiit Magni 3 (pre-amp in) with RCA cables to Hegel (tried lineout fixed and variable).
Issue #1 - No Audio from Record Player to Headphones:
No matter whether I connect the Schiit Magni 3 to Hegel's line out to Schiit Magni out or in RCA connections, I did not get any music flowing to the Hifiman's? How do I set-up my stack so that the signal from Analog 1 flows to the Hifiman's?
Issue #2 - Network Signal to Hegel does not flow to Headphones:
Similar issue to #1. Spotify or Tidal that is connected to Hegel only plays out of speakers and never flows to headphone amp and then to headphones.
