Help choosing a Preamp. Any info would be appreciated.

I have a WOO WA3 Headphone amp with the preamp output option. I love the sound of it even tho I am using a headphone amp as my primary preamp. Since I rarely listen with headphones anymore I am looking for an all Tube Preamp as good as the preamp output of the WA3. Have been trying to get an older WA2 since they also have the preamp output, but with 4 inputs instead as 1 like my WA3. Any other preamp suggestions would be great.

think future now, think features now,

I went from McIntosh SS C28 preamp to very old McIntosh mx110z Tube tuner/preamp, I couldn’t be happier.

Analog sources going from tube preamp into tube integrated amp with remote volume. Amp has preamp in (bypasses amps volume control, use old pre-amps manual volume, or 3 other line level inputs using amp’s remote volume, and remote input switching which I think is a wasted feature.

I am a fan of balance control for occassional tweaks of specific tracks, preamp has that, and I am a fan of loudness contour, essentially boosting bass, for more involving low volume listening, preamp has that, many modern units omit balance and omit loudness for low volume, something to think about.

As it happened, I went to turntable with two arms, and the old preamp has two phono inputs, just pick phono 1 or phono 2 for either arm. Just got lucky.

You may need something separate to send digital to one of the integrated amp’s inputs.
What are the most important things you’re looking for in your preamp in terms of both features and sound characteristics, and what’s your budget?
Look at Quicksilver's preamps...  price / performance ratio of their gear is off the chart
