HDMI from TV for longish run to stereo system

I use my stereo system primarily to listen to music.  But in my music room I have a new smart TV that I occasionally watch.  I want to use my speakers rather than those that came with the TV (which goes it’s data by Wi-Fi)   I have to run an HDMI cable about 30 feet from the TV to my components to do so.  I’m told that I need to get active HDMI 2.1 cables for this.  I was shocked by how expensive some of these are.  I would appreciate recommendations for cables for this purpose.  What specs for the cables would be relevant?

At 30' you can still stick to passive HDMI cables, but consider looking for 8K cables only because they are built to a higher standard with less loss and someday soon you may already need an 8k cable. :)

Not sure what you consider expensive to be but here is one that should work. 30’ is really not that far. You can do fiber as well just be prepared to protect it.

I would go with Wireworld or Audioquest fiber optic if you can.  I’ve had good luck with both for a 50’ long run to my projector.
