Has anyone tried this?

Has anyone ever tried this? On the bottom of my Sheffield labs album, Dave Grusin, discovered again. There is an audio file note that says, for optimum transient response in spatial clarity we recommend that the polarity of both channels be reversed at the speaker terminals, and in parentheses it says plus output terminal on power amplifier to minus terminal on speaker and vice versa. However, this procedure is not necessary for perfectly satisfactory playback. I myself have never tried doing this, has anyone tried switching your speaker cables pour this record?  If so, was there much of a difference?

I just noticed it on my Sheffield disc. I swapped the wires on the back of my speakers as I use banana plugs.  I honestly didn’t hear a difference but I didn’t play it too long. Try it for yourself and let us know what you think.

Many components have a 'phase' switch/button which accomplishes this without swapping wires.  Whether or not you hear a difference is up to you to determine.
