thanks for sharing Bwos. I had never heard it, nor of him or his music. The samples are interesting - I just ordered a copy.
Has anyone heard this?
One day last April, I was channel-surfing the fm radio in my car when i heard this hauntingly beautiful choral music that I'd never heard before. I had to pull over so that when(and if) they gave the information i could write it down. This piece lasted for about 30 minutes. I was mezmerized. They did give the name and composer of this piece. It was called Luminosity by a young English composer named James Whitbourn (b.1963). This piece was sparse in instrumention with only organ, viola, and tanpura. It had a slight Indian flavor. When I got home I looked it up on Amazon.com and ordered it immediately. After a year, it is the most listened to piece of music that I have. It is not audiophile quality, but it's not bad. I've given copies of this music to friends and family with mostly positive approval. If you like choral music, I can't recommend this music highly enough. BTW, I have no affiliation with the composer or cd company. I just wanted to share this with fellow music lovers.
