Harmon Kardon citation 2 bias question

can anyone here help with this question? I have a citation 2 that doesn’t have the stock bias meter, it has (2) jacks for meter probes. This might be a dumb question, I need to know what voltage to set the bias at,

Remember the Marantz 8b bias thread?

Do you still have the Nobsound 8-Pin Dual Bias Current Probes Tester Meter? You can use it to check the bias.

Measure voltage across the 15 ohm cathode resistor, use Ohm’s law to calculate the current ( I = V / R ).

1V across 15 ohm cathode resistor = 0.067A

Plate dissipation = B+ voltage x current

Assuming B+ is 470V, 470 x 0.067 = 31.3Watt.

On the safe side, I suggest 1V (31.3Watt) to 1.1V (34.5Watt).

Citation II Schematic

Have you tried a search for HK Citation II Bias instructions on the net?  I did a quick look and found a ton of information.   However, I am unfamiliar with the HK C II, so I am not sure exactly what you need to know.

Are the jacks factory issue or just something that someone replaced the factory meters with?
