Harmon Kardon Citation 12 Amp with AR 9 LS Speakers: OHM's Question

I have a Harmon Kardon Citation 12  Amp ( 8 OHM 's)....I

and I would like to pair this amp with AR 9 LS Speakers which are 4 OHM'S.

Will this be a problem OHM wise ?

Opinions please.

Thanks

No problem ohms wise as the amp is spec’s into 8 or 4 ohms. Not sure if 60 watts is enough if you want it loud.

The Citation 12 will be fine. I'm pretty sure it puts out more than 60 wpc. That was the amp that taught me 60wpc is enough as long as I didn't want to play louder than comfortable levels.

What is the stated efficiency of the speakers?  This would be in units of db/Watt at one meter distance, usually.  The "ohms" rating of the amplifier means very little (it usually means that the amp makes X Watts into an 8-ohm load), but if you want 60W to drive a speaker with a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, you need to know something about its efficiency. I'm also assuming the Citation 12 is a solid state amplifier (which goes to show you how out of touch I am).  Back in the 70s, HK produced a Citation 12 amplifier; is this the same old unit or a recent product that adopts the same designation? Size of room and listening tastes count as well.
