Hi, you can get some really good sound with a hard wired power cord by just changeing out the wall plug on the cord, an example would be the furutech FI-50 Rhodium and the Oyaide M-1 wall plug's, though they are exspensive to be wall plug's, you get what you pay for, these two are some of the best available that I know of, hope this help's.
