Gustard X30

I see lots of talk/reviews about the Gustard X30 DAC/Streamer, mostly about the DAC.  In fact, all about the DAC.  Why I don't see is a lot of talk about the built in streamer or what I believe is built in streaming capability.  Is it a DAC where a streamer was built into it, or a Streamer that just so happens to have a good DAC.

Looking for others who have had experience with it and if you chose to use its streamer or went with another source.

Thanks.

Well it contains a renderer, operates as an endpoint, and therefore is a network player, but can it be called a streamer if you cannot house your Roon core in it? I believe the term streamer contains both server and player parts. ASAIK this is where we are with the streaming language, someone correct me if I am wrong.

There are plenty of converters that have built-in renderers, and operate as Roon-ready, such as my Weiss 501, it is still called a DAC with a network renderer, Weiss does not call it a "streamer", but yes you can "stream" with it as it has UPnP- No other streamer or server is required if one doesn’t require Roon.
