Furman PST-8 Noise Reducing Power Strip

After hearing others suggest Furman power bars that incorporate line filtering like the PST-8, I’ve purchased a couple. I’ve not purchased these for my audio gear which already has conditioning from Audioquest, but to connect other potentially "noisy" devices to that are connected to separate outlets but unfortunately are on the same circuit as my audio gear, including a mac mini media server, my TV, a network switch, and few video game consoles.

Am I using the Furman correctly in this application - connecting all of these other devices unrelated to my hifi system into the Furman strips, to isolate any noise that is being fed back into the circuit which could adversely impact my hifi system’s performance? Has anyone else used these in this capacity?

For reference, my InnuOS Zenith MK3 music streamer is connected into an Audioquest 1200 conditioner which is connected to the wall, and my Diablo 300 amplifier is connected directly into the wall as per the manufacturer’s recommendation. I do also plan to plug a Shunyata Venom Defender to generally help with noise on the line.  I don't think my audio gear would benefit from also being connected to a Furman strip that features line filtering, or does anyone disagree with that?

Hey,

Well, it's what I recommend.  PC and laptop power supplies, and LED lights in particular tend to have pretty nasty noise characteristics.  The SMP filtering available for Furman or Panamax units will do a very nice job of preventing the worst of that.
