Floyd Sneed RIP

Another great gone. Floyd was an incredible drummer playing on Three Dog Night records.

I became of fan of Three Dog Night due to record collecting. Most of the early 1970's TDN was unknown to me. Until I listened to "Live Around The World" and "Live At The Forum" about 10 years ago I was unaware of the world class drummer Floyd Sneed was.

They were my first concert ever at the Stanley Warner theater in North Jersey. I recall him plating part of his solo with his bare hands, and his drum set was clear red acrylic with clear heads.

I just watched a BBC concert on youtube from 1972, and it reminded me of their incredible harmonies, and what a good backing band they had.
