Finally everyone can enjoy good sounds at home with LG TV bars and Meridean speakers

I heard $399 LG TV bar with a sub today and was blown away at the quality of sound I was hearing streaming movies and music. Pleasant top and nice and tight punch bass...

Now we can give the gift of good reproduced music for peanuts to all of our loved ones. I am a music teacher and I am happy that I can recommend these to my student’s parents, while before, there was no way that they would get a full blown Hifi system for it’s prohibited cost.

Anyone else blown away with the bang for the money of the LG bars?

I have an LG soundbar (around  $800) that I got primarily so I wouldn’t use my system for movies so much, i.e., to preserve tube life and have decent sound from the tv that my wife can operate.  The LG sounds pretty good until I turn on the main speakers.  Even dialogue is more understandable from the 2-ch system.  

   The LG is adequate for background music, but even the most modest 2nd system of any Audiogoner is likely better for music.
