Fed Ex makes good

Just a quick shout out to Fed Ex. I recently sold an amp and shipped it out of state. I used Fed Ex and purchased additional insurance, just in case. Well, as bad luck will have it, one of the type 45 tubes broke in transit. My buyer sent me a single picture of the broken tube still sitting in the bubble wrap. I mentioned that I would replace his tubes and asked for some additional pictures that the Fed Ex claims page said would be useful.

Well, even though I never received any additional pictures, and an opinion that he doubted that Fed Ex would make it right, they did! I sent my request with the one picture and got a reply 2 days later saying my claim had been approved. 3 days after that, I received a check in the mail.

Way to go Fed Ex!!

here is my fix w/ shipping UPS USPS etc ( does not work w/ fed ex but maybe it could ?  ) i use pirate ship have an account there . I have a e bay or other seller do the sale do it as  a local pick up i email them free ( to them ) pre-paid shipping label . i buy the shipping label pay for it myself ! it is cheaper and i add insurance to actual cost -you can only insure pirate ship to what you paid for it . not "value " anyway if it is lost or damaged I get the $ NOT the shipper ! otherwise YOU don't get $ unless they give it to you ! i have done same thing w/ royal mail YOU buy label YOU are owner ! otherwise shipper gets the $ fr a shipping claim!

Glad to hear you had a positive experience.  I just had a large and heavy box delivered by Fed Ex.  The side was slit open and the damage went through the styrofoam into the product inside.  Fortunately the sender approved the return.  They sent me a return label for UPS ground.  Wonder if they would have been better on delivery.  Shipping across the board is worse than ever in my experience.

Not sure generalities apply, hearing all these different stories.

My local UPS guy is awesome and the FedEx guy is a crabby and irritable jerk who yells at people and doesn’t make eye contact. I watched him on my camera dropping a fragile-marked box on the porch. It’s at times like that I’m grateful for solid state electronics.
