Feastrex Vivace

Would you buy one or what would you buy instead? I have a small listening place and I am hesitating between a JBL 4367(5) or an used Feastrex Vivace + subwoofer.

As a field coil are you prepared to spend the required money on two power supplies for the field coils, my research last year on a field coil driver led me to drop them as a suitable driver starting from scratch. I found you need to spend min $1000 per speaker on power supplies for the field coil or you will hear it in the music.  I almost went that rout but after spending time with my fiends system and his issues over years getting noiseless power supplies (or inability to find at reasonable cost) led me to drop the idea.

Just a thought for you if you have not already considered this.

and yes field coils can do many great things if you get to the point that they are working in synergy with high quality power supplies.
If that's what your looking at may also want to look as Voxativ out of Germany they make some of the best new production field coil point source drivers around.

I'd defiantly want to hear them first field coils need good amount of power for the field coils 3-10 amps depending on the driver that's why they need such good power supplies.

I looked at a UK company, if I can find the link when I get home i'll send it to you. they have power supplies made specifically for field coils, they will output up to 10amps they run about 900euros if my memory is there. I found you can get away with a single power supply, but only if the drivers don't require to much power. or your into huge power supplies.  Best with two IMO.
