Favorite Xmas movie ?

Gotta have a great music soundtrack. My vote:Home alone 1 If your system is up to it;Great John Williams's sparkling soundtrack;Something for your sub to do;and the scene between the child and the elderly guy in church is as good as it gets;dealing with dysfunctional families on this level. The pratfalls about as good it gets ??

Holiday Inn. This has been my families favorite holiday film for more than 20 years. With Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire and others...and the music of Irving Berlin. This was the original...that spawned other movies (White Christmas, Easter Parade) and a well known motel chain.
last temptation of christ; great soundtrack by peter gabriel. also a challenging, underrated movie for xmas or any other season, IMO.
The original Miracle on 34th Street in beautiful Black & white". Not the original version Ted Turner put his crayons to.
"Trapped in Paradise" is one of my favorite comedies, and is also a great Christmas movie. It stars Dana Carvey, Jon Lovitz and Nicholas Cage. Not sure about the sound, but I love the movie.
Classic- It's a Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stewart, somewhat modern day - A Christmas Story
As a follow-up to my post above....I and my sons look forward to the holiday season each year..so that we may re-watch some of our favorite movies...and not all are Christmas films....but these are the ones we enjoy. Holiday Inn, Home Alone 1, Home Alone 2, Radio Days, Hannah and Her Sisters, White Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life...and a few others that I am probably forgetting. Enjoy the season.
#1 is "A Christmas Story" (adapted from the book "In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash.) Hilarious!
"How the Grinch Stlole Christmas" (animated), "It's a Wonderful Life", and "Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer" with narration and songs by Burl Ives. Also enjoy "Here Comes Santa Claus" (the song) by Elvis. I havn't seen "Hannah and Her Sisters" since it's release, but would probably enjoy it as well (the fact that Woody Allen turns into a human being at the end of the movie is kind of a miracle in itself) - a rare glimpse of Woody.
It's a Wonderful Life; The Santa Clause; Miracle on 34th Street; and A Christmas Story (which I agree is hillarious). None of these have a GREAT soundtrack but very enjoyable nonetheless.
