External Linear Power Supplies

The one review I had found that used a separate power supply for a Pro-Ject Stream Box S2 Ultra streamer observed no improvement. I reread that review a long time later, and they used the Project Battery power supply.

The Teddy Pardo MiniTeddy is brilliant. Run it with a Mad Scientist Black Magic Ultra power cable, an SR Orange fuse, with Black Ravioli Pads underneath; I have a ’dead-silent’ system.

It’s good enough I’m now looking at a MiniTeddy for my wifi router.

I'm looking to upgrade the 18v power supply to my Pro-Ject streamer.
Up to approx $400. Smallish footprint.

Options so far:
Teddy Pardo MiniTeddy
MCRU LDA

Possibly:
Plixir Elementa DC?
Swagman?

Any ideas on this?

Some good reviews for the Pulse Mini.

Check some forums to see if a particular voltage input is beneficial i.e. does the Pulse Mini have a voltage sweet spot?

A decent DC cable as well. I have some from Ghent Audio which are good and reasonably priced.

If you can afford it, I would buy an LPS that has good reviews.

I love my Plixir Elite and TeddyPardo (and Coherent Systems UK) power supplies.

Like my Teradak DC30 and FiiO LPS.

Okay with the two generic dual supplies from AliExpress.

Read somewhere a guy who liked his PD Creative on a BlueSound.

As you know, a good power supply will lift performance, and should be an investment with no regrets.

So you are saying a battery power supply is inferior to electrical linear or switching P-S?

Not at all. I have not compared the two, so cannot comment.

Found a linear power supply better on a previous Dac than a batter power supply.
