Experience with Sony SACD as transports or other?

Looking for anyone with experience using their Sony SCD-1 or SCD-777ES as a transport. Have any of you upgraded to a dedicated transport that you felt bettered the Sony? Which one and why.

The unit enjoys a reputation as an excellent transport, but I always felt my earlier Levinson No. 39 CDP bettered it handily.
