Excited GE Enthusiast

I recently purchased the Golden Ear Triton 1's and the XXL center.  Had maggies for the last 30 years so it was time for a change. I love these Tritons on 2 channel music, and movies. They  have been blowing me away, especially fantastic for the money. I don't necessarily feel they sound better than my 1.7'is, it just a totally different sound.
the back end of my Atmos set up is Maggie MMG's as side surrounds, maggies on wall as rear surrounds, and 2 -8"Monoprice in ceiling speakers for Atoms. I'm going to add another pair in the near future.  Just had to tell SOMEONE about my new equipment. I have no friends who are into Music and gear as me, so I tell you all because you know the feeling. Blessed!

Actually it was stereo5's recommendation, so he deserves the credit :)

I was able to stream the Simmons / Brown album on amazon prime. Really enjoyed it , I love the blues. not a big Jazz fan though, but give me the soul that blues emits and I can listen for hours.  Great electric guitar!  thanks for the Tip!!

I gathered that , I have never seen mention of the GE on discussions here. IMO Too bad they are  the BEST speaker for the $ but not enough bragging rights for some! I have been to the GE Triton forums and they are a bunch of generous and down to earth people.  thank you for your input!  Don
Congratulations. You are going to love the Triton Ones. I have had mine in my secondary system for over 2 years, They are keepers. Everything sounds good on them. The bass is excellent and the treble is very smooth. The better the electronics you feed them, the better they will sound......

I also have the GE Triton References in my main system. They are similar to the Triton Ones except they have more of everything.

+1

I'll add that you may wish to head over to the Golden Ear forum as well, because as a general rule you won't find much love for the Triton's here on Audiogon.

I watched Guardians of the galaxy 1 and 2 the pther evening and wow!!!, talk about a base work out. my wife who normally doesnt like it as loud as me didnt complain with the Tritons as she did with the Maggies. The Bass...she thought I put under the couch vibrators!!LOL
I will definitely pick up that CD you referred.  Thanks again for your comments!

Congratulations.  You are going to love the Triton Ones.  I have had mine in my secondary system for over 2 years,  They are keepers.  Everything sounds good on them.  The bass is excellent and the treble is very smooth.  The better the electronics you feed them, the better they will sound.  If you want to hear some unbelievable bass, get the cd titled "The Devil To Pay" by Kim Simmons and Savoy Brown.  Play the first cut titled "Ain't Got Nobody" and hang on.  You will be blown away with the high quality sound.  The bass will rattle the fillings in your teeth and the vocals are so clear and unstrained.  The speakers take a couple of hundred hours to break in regardless of what the manual may say.

I also have the GE Triton References in my main system.  They are similar to the Triton Ones except they have more of everything.
