The A6 is well worth the price, absolutely,  no doubt . Nice machine 

 The Aurender ?   Yes , it also was worth the price.   That's because I traded a piece I no longer needed plus $800 cash.... for a new in the box unit.

 I probably would never have just spent MSRP on something like that.  .  I got a good deal and looking back I would have been foolish to pass on it.   It is substantially better than the Vault it replaced.  

Yes, it is relative to what one can afford. Congrats on the Aurender too. No doubt it’s excellent. The EverSolo DMP-A6 performs exceedingly well for its price and to be honest I believe it will be the sort of streamer most people will ever need. The Aurender is beyond many folks means. I would suggest that with the advent of value / performance products like the EverSolo DMP-A6, the Aurender N200 becomes more of a niche product for the ‘audio connoisseur’. Given such worthy competition at much more affordable price, a company like Aurender might be well served to think about a more affordable product in their line.

Sorry to semi-hijack this thread but since so many Eversolo owners seem to be on here... just got the DMP-A8. Setup was in fact very easy. Plugged it in and started playing and was not blown away. Admittedly, my system is nice to me but not high end by any means. Primaluna Prologue integrated amp and Audionote AZ3 speakers. Was previously streaming through a sonos port and using the Cambridge DacMagic. Always sounded fine to me but had been curious to step up a notch. Just got back from a long time away and got the stereo set up with the A8. Since I wasn't sure if it was doing what it should (and the sonos and Cambridge are in storage so couldn't compare) I went ahead and plugged my iPhone into the amp through RCA adapter and there is literally no difference. I tried so many songs, with the A8 reading FLAC quality and switching back and forth between the two with practically no difference. Even if the A8 doesn't have the greatest DAC on earth, shouldn't it still be night and day between that and an iPhone plugged directly into the amp? I may not have the most trained ears on earth but surely there must be something I'm doing wrong in setup or connection, no? Is it possible the primaluna and audio notes aren't good enough to feature the difference???

Can just as easily go back to the cheaper set up and get back my $2k? But would like to make sure I'm hearing this thing as it's meant to be heard if it's a user error.

Appreciate any thoughts anyone has.

It sounds like you've got it set up correctly, and just can't hear a difference. Which is totally fine if you are happy with the sound. 

I would try to break out the Sonos and Cambridge stuff, see if you hear a difference there. It might be that you are just enjoying the music so much you aren't being very analytical. Nothing wrong with that.
