Also keep in mind that Airplay is lossy so Wifi or ethernet should definitely sound better.

Yes, I bought the Eversolo so that I wouldn't have to use Airplay but tried all methods to test the flat sound I was getting.

It's amazing how the streamer software settings and DSD vs PCM make a bigger difference than the file quality.
