Ever change your mind?

I put a tube integrated amp up for sale because I bought something else. So after getting a couple nibbles, I thought I better make sure everything is still ok with it since it hadn't been in the system for a couple of months. Wow....it sounds so good. The main reason I wanted to go with something else is because the system was in a smallish room that tended to be hot anyway and the tubes just added too much heat. (I've since moved everything to a much bigger, more open space.)

It's amazing how much bass this thing gets out of my Maggies. I had to check to make sure I didn't plug the subs, Anyway, has anyone else had second thoughts at the last minute? Mostly, I am just trying to recoup some of the cost of the new piece. Not sure if I am trying to talk myself into still selling it or keeping it. LOL

Yes, happens quite often. Like you, I sold things to help offset the cost of something else, as this stuff is not cheap however, there are certain things I wish I hung onto. There have been times I got cold feet selling something on Ebay, despite having like 10 watchers...still ended up pulling the plug on the listing and keeping it. Recently, it was a fully automatic new in the box Thorens td240 turntable. I own many turntables, but none of them are fully automatic. I had it plugged in to test it out, and it is truly fascinating to watch it in operation. It is a very elegant looking turntable as well. I’m happy I kept it hanging around. Sold some other things only to buy them back again. I guess the moral is to follow your heart.
