Esoteric SA-50 Cant figure out how to adjust volume........

I recently had my Esoteric SA-50 serviced with Tap Electronics. After spending quite a bit of money and time to get the parts to get my unit fixed, I received unit back in great shape. But there is now one problem, I am not able to get the volume control on the remote control work. It did work before I sent the unit to tap Electronics. I can't seem to remember how to get the volume control to work I know there is a procedure to do this but the owner's manual just does not go into ANY detail telling you how to do this. I have the unit owner's manual and it kinda useless. I tried contacting Esoteric customer service and it is impossible to get in touch with us with them. They are now referring everything to TAP. Is there anybody out there that could give me step-by-step instructions on how to get my volume control to work again? This would be greatly appreciated. The way Esoteric customer service now operates I wish I would have gone with a McIntosh SACD player.

If the volume function was previously working (before getting it served) and you're doing the same thing to set volume, it could be a problem with a chip inside the unit (that intercepts commands from the remote)

Leave it running for about 15 minutes then power off and try again. If all else fails, the remote itself could be the problem. You can get the same remote and it will work fine.
Looks like I found the SA-50 manual online. Turn to p.20 for how to enter the setup menu then p.22 to set the attenuator function ("ATT" menu choice).

Hope this helps.
