I actually was a rep for InnerSound, ages ago. Besides overkill, not really. They are pretty open sounding and rock solid amps.
My suspicion is you'll feel like your speakers have a lot more bass after switching. :)
ESL amplifier to feed ordinary 2-way speaker?
There is apparently a category of amplifiers designed specifically to feed ESL speakers. InnerSound, Coda, etc. Do these amps give up something in a tradeoff?
My Revival Atalante 3 ported 2-way speakers are specified at
Sensitivity (2.83V/1m) 87dB/2.83V/1metre
Nominal Impedance 6 ohms
Minimum Impedance 4 ohms at 175Hz
Crossover Frequency 2.8 kHz
Right now a FirstWatt F8 drives them.
