Eq for Bose 901

I recently inherited a pair of 901 series V speakers without the Eq that they come with. Not real familiar with them. I have a dbx 2231 in my system. Any reason that wont make the 901s perform as intended? Thanks for any input !

Series ones an all that I knew of used a smile on a GEQ. They had no bass, they had no highs. They could sound real good if you measured and did exactly what Bose said to do. The room sizes were recommended and the placement. IF you thought you knew better you didn't. LOL

THEN point source speakers became all the rage. EASY to place in comparison and had lows and highs in a floor standing speaker without the silly stand.. Infinity, Polk, VMPS.

Horn guys? well, they are horn guys. What can I say. I like um. :-) Horn guys are weird, so am I. So what.

Bose is still selling the crap out of STUFF..

They use to plug those thing into a 110-120 AC socket a leave them there as a demo. Unplug and plug them in.. Never hurt a Series I. Tough is not the word for it..

I'm using AR 303a's which I wouldn't give up for any price! I got these 901's and just wanted to give em a try!  Thanks for the response!

BTW, I owned Series I and Series V. The Series I were the best but needed big power. But a heads-up: They are not that good and my 500-dollar pair was replaced by a 139-dollar Infinity and that was a big step up.

The EQ curves are available on-line if you search and there are also 3rd party replacement boxes.
