George Carlin was a comedian, crankiness was part of his persona

Had a bit, he in an elevator with some foreigner mumbling their words in English. He says "ENUNCIATE GD it"

I’m using that to say "POST A LINK GD it"

IOW, people ought to post links in the discussions they start, with links to the equipment they are ........

so we can simply click the link to easily see the features/specs/wpc?/include phono? .....?

i.e. I am getting a ma5300, what else do I need?

https://www.mcintoshlabs.com/products/integrated-amplifiers/MA5300

then I/anybody don’t have to do a search to find out it has both a DAC and a MM Phono stage built in.

I am thinking of buying a evf6734, any comments? Come on!

I am thinking of buying a evf6734, any comments?

Yeah, I checked with Puddy, and he says there’s a mistake in the manual.

Didn’t Carlin also do the bit about "stuff"?

Uhhhh, do you want me to link to my stuff, your stuff, or the other guys stuff?

I saw Carlin live  about 20 years ago but I didn’t realize that he had taken the digital world into his sights.

Most of the people who post “I am thinking of buying (fill in the blank), what do you guys think?” are relative newcomers to the site and may not know how to post a link

I got your original intent, OP and I agree. Links would be great for more possible engagement with a threads inquiries. But a lot of times ‘in the know’ short-hand lingo can be even worse and potentially sends folks right to the back button.
